Our Chalk Paint is a water-based, eco-friendly furniture paint with a high pigment content. It has a matte, tactile, chalky feel finish but without any residue.
Like all our paints, it is laden with pigment for incredible depth of colour and a thick and creamy consistency. It gives unrivalled performance, exceptional coverage, and superior durability. The properties of our paint mean it will cover almost any surface effortlessly without the need for preparation, including glass, wood, stone, tiles, plastic, metal, laminate, concrete, fabric and vinyl.
For the more adventurous, our colours are fully compatible with each other, meaning they can be mixed together to create your own unique colours and effects.
Warm colours: Reds, yellows and oranges.
Cool colours: Greens, blues, violets.
Primary colours: Red, yellow and blue. These cannot be created by mixing.
Secondary colours: Created by mixing two primary colours – for example blue and yellow to make green.
Tertiary colours: Created by mixing a primary and secondary colour – for example add red to the green you made to get brown.
Add white to lighten and black to darken your mixed colour.
Although Vintro Chalk Paint is very durable we would recommend finishing with Vintro Extreme Lacquer for use in kitchens, bathrooms and outdoors.

Vintro Chalk Paint is EN71-3 Certified – also known as ‘toy paint regulation safe’. This means it is completely safe for children’s rooms and furniture.
Vintro Chalk Paint is an easy to use, durable, furniture paint that adheres to most surfaces with no preparation other than surface cleaning. It can be used to create a variety of styles and effects.
No, Vintro Chalk Paint will paint over almost anything, however, we do recommend that you remove any loose dust, paint or rust prior to painting.
Vintro Chalk Paint will paint straight onto very shiny furniture including mirrors, laminate or melamine. However, some new laminate or melamine furniture has been coated with a light oil prior to packaging and we recommend that you give it a quick wipe over with a water-based clean spirit prior to painting.
Vintro Chalk Paint is laden with pigment which means it will cover better, therefore, go further and you use less resources. A 1 litre tin will cover approx 19.5m².
Compare that to some products which only cover 6m² and the difference is clear.
Vintro Chalk Paint has been formulated to be very thick, this gives it more versatility than most other furniture paints. Think of it as a concentrate, some brands add water during manufacturing and supply a thinner paint, we don’t believe in charging customers for water! For a rough guide, and it will depend on the look you want to achieve, you can add 10% water to the lighter colours and 5% water to the darker colours.
We can only confirm that our paints are vegan-friendly and contain no animal derivatives, this may not be the case for all brands and we would advise you to seek advice from the relevant manufacturer.

If it is a water-based paint then technically it will mix in, however, you could possibly alter the characteristics of both paints by doing this and the results may vary.
